What I learned during the pandemic:
-It’s okay not to go to the movies every Friday night and eat a bucket of popcorn, or to go out to eat. Hubby was even inspired to cook a wonderful dinner for my birthday and New Year’s, a first in 14 years! And a by-product, oh my, I lost 8 pounds…and saved a lot of money!
-I learned it’s okay to spend more time at home, enjoying my husband’s company, and getting to know the neighborhood by taking long walks, and saying hello to people along the way (at a respectable distance, of course!)
-I learned it’s wonderful to work out at home with a huge variety of fun videos on YouTube inspiring me!
-I realized that the required isolation meant I could and should reach out to others I hadn’t spoken to in a long time (much to their surprise) and especially to those isolated by the stay-at-home rules. People were extra kind and it was infectious.
-I was reminded how precious our lives are, and to be grateful every day for everything and everyone I love in my life.
-And the best part of wearing a mask: No one can tell what you are thinking and….you can stick your tongue at whomever you like!!
