- Right before the pandemic hit, I was scheduled to get on a plane to Portland to start a big training contract I had won. Once the pandemic shut everything down, I asked myself – “What am I going to do now?
- I sat in my quiet back yard in Queens and thought how I was going to make up for this loss of business? Then it hit me. PIVOT!
- I purchased a Zoom account (never heard of it until the pandemic), made an update to my company website that I now provide online training and sent out an email. Guess what! – requests for online training started rolling in. I became a Zoom black belt virtually overnight!
- Then I purchased another Zoom account for my entertainment business and started doing virtual house music parties! My following loved it and I’m still doing the virtual parties every month.
- What I learned during the pandemic? How to think differently about my businesses going forward in the future. You can transform anything into something else if you just think about it hard enough. How much I love my family because we never got tired of each other. In fact, I learned so much more about them that we are closer than ever! In addition, how good of a cook and barbecue chef I am because everything I made, they ate!
- What I lost during the pandemic? My home office. Had to turn it over to my wife for her job!!!
